This Privacy Policy describes how Web-Cite Info-Design, Inc. doing business as Even Better and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “Even Better,” “we,” “us”) collects, processes, uses, and stores information we collect from users of our website, located at, (the “Site”), our software applications (“Software” or “App”), and services provided through the Site or Software (collectively, the “Service”).  The term “you” refers to all visitors, users and others visiting or using the Service.

1. Data and Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information from you when you visit or use our Service. The information may be stored on the device you use to access the Service and on our servers.

Information you provide directly:

Account and Profile Information.  

When you register to use the Service or create an Even Better app account, we may collect your name and all other information provided to us (this information may include your name, email address, password, date of birth, gender, geographic location, and native language). We also collect any information uploaded or otherwise input by you while using the Service.

Shopify store data.

When you use an Even Better app, we may access and store data from or related to your Shopify store or stores. You give us access to this data when installing and authorizing our app. We use this data to provide the Service, in accordance with Shopify’s partner and customer agreements.

Analytics Data.  

We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Service, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Service.  We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other users so that it may not reasonably be used to identify any particular individual user.

Cookies and Related Technologies.  

When you visit or use the Service or open our emails, we and our third-party service providers collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies and other related technologies like pixels, web beacons, web server logs and local storage.  The information collected in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device identification numbers and characteristics, operating system version, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about the usage of our Service. We may link this data to your profile. You may be able to change browser settings to block and delete cookies when you access the Site through a web browser.  However, if you do that, the Site may not work properly. We collect this information about how you use the Service and the Site to better provide and suggest features for you.

Log File Information.  

Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you make a request to access (i.e., visit) a web page or app. It can also be provided when the content of the web page or app is downloaded to your browser or device.  When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information, including your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. We may also collect similar information from emails sent to you and other users which then helps us track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. The information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the Service.

Device Identification.  

When you use our Service, we receive information about your device through its unique device identification number.  This information includes your device’s model, its operating system version, and the country where you are located. We use the device identification to learn about how you use the Service and to track your input in order to provide reports or create content that better serves you and our other users.  Some features of the Service may not function properly if use or availability of your device’s identification is impaired or disabled.

Device Identifiers.

When you use a mobile device like a tablet or phone to access our Service, we may access, collect, monitor, store on your device, and/or remotely store one or more "device identifiers."  Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device's operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by us.

Customer Support Inquiries.   

If you contact us directly, such as when you contact our Customer Support team, we will receive the contents of your message or any attachments you may send to us, as well as any additional information you choose to provide. Contact us at if you have any questions.

Payment Information.   

When you make payments through the Service, you may need to provide your mailing address and financial account information, such as your credit card number, to our third-party service providers.  We do not collect or store financial account information, though we may receive transaction identifiers and summary information that does not include credit card or bank account numbers.

2. How We Use the Information We Collect

We may use the information we collect for the following purposes and as permitted in any other agreements that  we have with you:

To Provide and Improve the Service.  

We use the information to provide, evaluate, and improve the Service; to analyze our products and their usage; to enhance and improve our existing Service; to develop new products and services; to manage our communications; to diagnose or fix technology problems; monitor metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic and demographic patterns; automatically update the Even Better App installed via Shopify; and to perform accounting, auditing and other internal functions.

To Communicate with You. 

We may send you emails and push notifications to your email or mobile device if they are enabled, to verify your account and for informational and operational purposes, such as account management, instructions, alerts, reminders, customer service, system maintenance, and other Service-related purposes

Process Payments.  

We use your information to facilitate transactions and payments.


We may use information to provide online advertising on the Service and to send you newsletters, offers, surveys, and other promotional information related to Even Better products and services, including, but not limited to, the Service (“Promotional Emails”). Where required under applicable law, we will obtain appropriate consent to send you marketing communications.  You may opt out of email marketing by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or by contacting us at

Data Analysis.  

We analyze the information we collect to provide our products and services, such as providing reports to you. To the extent permitted by law, we may also de-identify and/or aggregate information, and use and disclose it for business purposes (for example, to perform research and provide statistical information and data regarding trends to Even Better affiliates and partners).

Compliance with Legal and Other Requirements and to Protect Rights.  

We may use information to protect against, identify, and prevent fraud and other unlawful activity, claims and other liabilities. We also may use information to comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards, and our policies.

3. How We Share Your Information

We will not rent or sell your information to third parties outside Even Better without your consent, except as described in this Privacy Policy and as permitted in any other agreements we have with you.  We may share your information with the following parties:

Vendors and Service Providers. 

We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers we use to help us provide the Service (“Service Providers”).  Examples Service Providers include entities that process credit card payments, fulfill orders, and provide analytics and web hosting services. We require Service Providers by contract to only use or disclose the information they process on our behalf as necessary to perform certain services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.

Members of our Group.  

We may share your information (including but not limited to, information from cookies, log files, device identification, location data, and usage data) with any members of our group, which includes our affiliates and subsidiaries, or that become part of that group (“Affiliates”).  Affiliates may use this information to help provide, understand, and improve the Service (including by providing analytics) and Affiliates' own services (including by providing you with a better user experience).

Advertising Partners.  

We do not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission.  We may work with third party advertising partners to show ads for our Service that we think may interest you after you visit our Service. These third party partners collect information from you when you visit our Service and other online services. Where required under applicable law, we will request your consent to such collection and use of your information. You may be able to opt out of receiving personalized advertisements from us and our advertising partners who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who subscribe to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting the opt-out sections on the websites of each of those organizations.  Links to those sites are here:

Legal and Similar Disclosures. 

We may access, preserve, and disclose collected information, if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; respond to your requests; comply with the law, or protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers.  

In the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation), such assets likely will include the data we retain.  We will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use information you have provided to us in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. Following such a sale or transfer, you may contact the entity to which we transferred your information with any inquiries concerning the processing of that information.

Other Disclosures. 

We may disclose information in other ways when we have consent to do so, such as provided in other agreements we may have with you.

You have certain rights and choices in connection with the information we collect about you.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to and be informed about the information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your information, and have the information blocked or deleted, as appropriate.  If you wish to request access or an update to the information that we have concerning you, please email us at  Your rights to your information may be limited in some circumstances by local legal requirements.  You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection of your information. Note however that if you exercise your right of blocking or deletion, if you decline to share certain information with us, or if you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionalities of the Service.

If you receive Promotional Emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the opt-out instructions contained within the message.  Even after you opt-out of receiving promotional messages from us, you may continue to receive administrative messages from us regarding the Service.  You may turn off push notifications through your device settings.

You may contact us as indicated in the ‘How to Contact Us’ section of this Privacy Policy to exercise your rights and choices to your information. If we provide you with access to information, we may require you to pay a fee to meet our costs.

Following termination or deactivation of your account, Even Better, its Affiliates, or its Service Providers may retain information (including your profile information) and user content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, and/or audit purposes.   We will also continue to use de-identified and/or aggregated information as permitted under applicable law and to comply with our legal obligations, agreements with our Affiliates and Service Providers, resolve disputes, enforce our rights, or for similar purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

We may transfer information we collect about you to countries other than the country in which the information originally was collected.  If you are in the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that differ from those of the United States, please note that we may transfer your information to countries located outside the European Union or your geographic region, in particular to the United States, where we are headquartered and where some of our Affiliates and Service Providers are located.  These countries may not provide the same level of protection as your jurisdiction. Any information that we transfer will be protected as described by this Privacy Policy.

6. Security of Your Information

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the personal information you provide through the Service against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.   We take reasonable measures (such as requiring a unique password and username verification) to verify your identity to access your account. Nevertheless, no means of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure and Even Better cannot ensure the security of any information transmitted to Even Better or guarantee that information on the Service may not be unlawfully or without authorization destroyed, lost, altered, accessed, disclosed or used.

7. Children’s Policy

Our Service is not directed at children under 18 years of age.  We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 18 years of age.  If we discover that a child under 18 years of age has provided us with personal information without proper parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.  If you believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at

Through the Service we may provide you with links to other websites and applications for your convenience.  These websites and applications may be third parties and independent from us with their own privacy policies and rules and we do not review, approve, monitor, endorse, warrant, or make any representations with respect to third-party web sites. You agree that with regard to any third-party websites or applications that are not owned or controlled by us, we are not responsible for the sites’ or applications’ content, any use of the sites or applications, the sites’ or applications’ practices, or the privacy practices of the sites or applications.  If you use a third-party website or application and allow them to access your personal information, you do so at your own risk.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may modify or update this Privacy periodically and without prior notice to you. Please review the Privacy Policy from time to time for changes. We may provide you with other notice of the modifications or updates to the Privacy Policy as appropriate and will indicate at the top of the notice when the Privacy Policy was most recently updated.   You agree that Even Better will reserve the right to notify you via email of any important changes to this Privacy Policy and/or service agreements. Your continued use of Even Better or the Service after any change or modification to the Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of such change or modification.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

"Data Controller", "Data Processor", "Data Subject", "Processing" and "Personal Data" shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Applicable Data Protection Laws.

Even Better acts as a Data Processor by processing personal data on behalf of merchants to help merchants administer and manage orders on behalf of their customers. If you have a question or complaint about how your Personal Data is handled, these should always be directed to the relevant data controller since they are the ones with primary responsibility for your Personal Data.

Personal Data

Even Better processes Personal Data on the instructions of merchants. The data that we collect is described in Section 1 above.

Personal Data retention 

We retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide you with our Services, or for other important purposes such as complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. 

If you have an account with us, we will typically retain your Personal Data for a period of 90 days after you have requested that your account is closed. We will typically retain Log File Information for up to 2 years for the purpose of improving our Service.

Your rights

Data protection law provides you with rights in respect of Personal Data that we hold about you, including the right to request a copy of the Personal Data, request that we rectify, restrict or delete your Personal Data, object to profiling and unsubscribe from marketing communications.

Please note that requests to exercise data protection rights will be assessed by us on a case-by-case basis. There may be circumstances where we are not legally required to comply with your request because of the laws in your jurisdiction or because of exemptions provided for in data protection legislation.
